The island of Ireland is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. It's clean unspoilt waters, warmed by the Gulf Stream, which flows up from the Gulf of Mexico, is the habitat of a vast variety of fish, shellfish and crustacea.

It is the ideal environment for a seafood processing and exporting business, a fact recognised immediately by a Dutch family, The Verwijs', when they arrived in Ireland in the early 1960's.

Irfish is situated in Dumore East in County Waterford.

The plant processes all types of seafish, shellfish and crustacea.

All produce processed by the company either fresh, frozen, cooked or smoked, is caught in and around Irish waters and supplied by local boats and fishing co-operatives

Irfish exports its produce across Europe and the Far East and is currently exploring new market opportunities.
